Ministry of Al McBryan
Al was born and raised in Alberta. His family attended Baptist churches
in Grande Prairie, and Millet. Al became a Christian at the age of eight.
Upon completing grade 12, Al became involved in Ministry on the U of A
Campus. At the same time he worked as a bricklayer's helper. In 1977 Al was
married to Maryann Kopf. They now have four children: Kelly, Marc, Kalynn and Shaun.
In 1979 Al joined Youth with a Mission. He was the director of University
Ministries on the U of A Campus until 1987. Al become the director of YWAM
Edmonton in 1989. He has attended a 10 week training school with the Agape
Force in 1975. He and his wife attended a YWAM Discipleship Training School
in 1981.
For the past 21 years Al has traveled across the US and Canada speaking in
churches, camps, and YWAM training schools. He has given lectures on a
number of college campuses in Canada. His interests lie in the area of
evangelism and apologetics. From 1984 to 1995 he taught an evening course on
the U of A campus entitled "The Truth Shall Make You Free". This was
sponsored by Youth with a Mission.
At this time, Al continues to travel almost half the year teaching in
various places across North America. |
